Supporting the Community All Year Round

Utility Telecom is thankful for the many partnerships that have allowed us the opportunity to become involved and help strengthen the Stockton Area and neighboring community.

With our corporate location based in Stockton, California, and satellite offices throughout California and Nevada, we have had many opportunities to be a part of something much bigger than our company.

Partnership with Stockton Con Events

For the last few years, Utility Telecom has been the presenting sponsor of StocktonCon Events, which hosts Grape City Con in Lodi, California; Stockton Con in Stockton, California; and Central Valley Con in Modesto, California.

The goal of StocktonCon Events is to raise awareness of artists in the San Joaquin Valley area while simultaneously raising awareness and funds in conjunction with various local charities like the United Way of San Joaquin and St. Mary’s Dining Room.

As the presenting sponsor, Utility Telecom is able to contribute to hosting each and every one of these events throughout the year. We’ve been able to help enrich the community with a family-friendly event and meet many members of the community that attend.

This past year was StocktonCon’s seventh year hosting the event, allowing for thousands of fans a place to enjoy all things pop culture and helping raise over $130,000 for local charities throughout the years.

Misty Holt-Singh Memorial Golf Tournament

This summer, we had the privilege to participate in the Fifth Annual Misty Holt-Singh Memorial Golf Tournament in Stockton, California.

Utility Telecom sponsored the event with Mizuno Irons as a prize item. In addition to the sponsorship, one of our Stockton Account Executives participated as a golfer in the tournament while the Utility Telecom marketing team set up a booth with giveaways for the golfers.

The late Misty Holt-Singh’s family and friends all participated in the event with a great sense of strength and community engulfing the golf course.

This event raised over $30,000 from sponsorships, participants, and raffle tickets collectively. Proceeds from this event were donated to the Victims of Violent Crimes of San Joaquin County Organization.

After receiving the generous donation, the Victims of Violent Crimes of San Joaquin County Organization then donated half of the money raised to other non-profits similar to their own, such as the Citizens Against Homicide, Kelly’s Angels, Youth for Christ, Parents for Murdered Children, Haven of Peace, and the Every 15 Minutes Program.

Extending a Helping Hand to Other Communities

In addition to sponsorships throughout the San Joaquin County, Utility Telecom employees witnessed the damages of the deadly Camp Fire that tragically spread throughout Butte County.

One of our very own technicians experienced the quick-spreading fire and city evacuation while out on a technician job in Magalia, California. With nearly 19,000 buildings destroyed and dozens of fatalities, the Utility Telecom team immediately brainstormed on how to help the community.

We are extremely privileged to have been able to donate $5,000 of items to those who were affected by the Camp Fire. Utility Telecom team members took time to carefully purchase large quantities of items that were requested by the Oroville Hope Center.

The Oroville Hope Center has been an active donation hub for the victims of this tragedy. The members and volunteers have been able to manage donations, distributions, and regularly updates the list of needed items for the victims.

Supporting Communities

In addition to our major sponsorships and donations, we are proud to contribute to many local events and organizations throughout the San Joaquin County community. From sponsoring local sporting teams, Chambers of Commerce, and other organizations, we are so thankful for the community in our network.

Here are a few of the events we’ll be at in 2019!
